WHO WE ARE

Since the early 1920s, we have cultivated our vineyards and produced wine purely for personal pleasure.

Our vineyard has always been a meeting place for friends and relatives, a space where to spend moments of conviviality together. With the same spirit of sharing, we have decided to give life to a new reality:

Vigne di Confine. The goal is to continue the family legacy, spreading the genuineness and naturalness of the wines we produce on the slopes of the volcano.

VIGNE DI CONFINE

The Vigne di Confine are located in Biancavilla, on the slopes of Mount Etna, a territory that offers optimal conditions for grape cultivation and the production of quality wines. Thousands of years of volcanic activity have transformed and continue to transform the soil, giving it mineral qualities, optimal fertility, and drainage.

To all this is added a perfect microclimate, characterized by significant temperature fluctuations between day and night. The altitude of 960 meters and the sea breeze do the rest: the grapes ripen slowly and develop a unique aromatic complexity.

VINES, GRAPE AND NATURE

Vigne di Confine carefully cultivate 14,000 vines, divided between bush vines and spur-pruned cordons, dedicated to the native grape varieties of Mount Etna: Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, Carricante, and Catarratto. The entire process, from cultivation to harvest, is carried out manually without the use of machinery or chemical products, thus preserving the natural qualities of the grapes in the wines.

This family tradition, passed down from generation to generation, is based on respect for natural processes, telling unique stories through each bottle and representing the soul of Mount Etna and the Sanfilippo family.
